Fortaleza is one of tequila's great heritage revival stories, connected to the Sauza family and tequila-making traditions that go back to the nineteenth century. Guillermo Erickson Sauza restored the family distillery and brought traditional production back to life under the Fortaleza name.

Its history is central to its value: stone ovens, tahona crushing and small-batch methods give the brand real authority among agave drinkers. Fortaleza gives the trade a tequila with cult credibility, family provenance and a story that serious customers actively seek out.
